The team at West Coast Surveys has been providing professional asbestos surveys and asbestos consultancy in Cumbria since 2000. Operating from Workington in West Cumbria, the company is proud to have a locally based workforce.
Originally part of asbestos and thermal insulation company West Coast Thermal , rapid growth in the asbestos sector led directors to form a sister company in 2003. ‘West Coast Surveys’ focuses purely on asbestos surveying, sampling management and consultancy.
All WCT directors have a wealth of experience in carrying out all types of asbestos surveys and ALL West Coast Surveys Asbestos Surveyors hold a P402 Certificate in Building Surveys & Bulk Sampling issued by the British Institute of Occupational Hygienists (BIOH).
Independent and objective
To ensure complete objectivity, all suspected asbestos samples are analysed by an independent by an independent UKAS accredited Laboratory.
Growing number of clients
Founding Directors Barry Graham, John Boughey and Neil Murray along with Stuart Barnett, an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Asbestos Removal Supervisor, have grown an impressive & wide ranging portfolio of clients.
Since 2006 WCS has been working with the health and safety arm of Cumbria County Council PTSU (Property & Transport Services Unit) – undertaking hundreds of asbestos surveys in schools, fire stations, libraries, corporate and government buildings etc. Other clients include:
